Fairy Pratchett Dice - 7D Set

Professor Basile has been teaching “The Fundamentals” at the Academy of Magic for 312 years. He has never smiled. Not once. He can count twelve D6 at a glance, he knows his textbook by heart, and his students are so afraid of him that they raise their hand to ask permission to breathe.
One Monday, Basile opened his textbook to chapter 1, as he did every year. There was something new at the bottom of the page: a little star and a note written in pink ink. “* Professor Basile once blew up a classroom in 1702. Ask him.” The students looked up. Basile said nothing. He turned the page. There was another note.
(The Dungeon Master, checking their notes: a fairy had moved into the textbook. A tiny pink and white fairy, with a quill and a very well-developed sense of humour. The students nicknamed her Fairy Pratchett. Nobody remembers why. Don’t ask me.)
Every day, there were new footnotes. “* This formula works better if you read it out loud while hopping on one foot.” “* Chapter 4 is boring. Skip straight to 5.” “* This is a good exam question. Or not.” The students laughed for the first time in 312 years of Fundamentals. Basile got stiffer and stiffer.
He tried to catch her. He slammed the book shut: the fairy added “* Missed.” He put the book in the freezer: “* It’s freezing in here.” He bought a brand-new book. The next morning, the first page already said: “* Hello Basile. New book, new fairy? No. Same fairy.”
On exam day, Basile handed out the papers. At the bottom of the last page, a note: “* Professor Basile never smiles. If you want bonus points, try to make him smile.” Thirty students turned to him at the same time, pulling the silliest faces in the kingdom. Basile looked at them for a long time. Then the corner of his mouth moved. By one millimetre.
(The Dungeon Master, trying not to laugh: everyone got the bonus points. The next day, a new note appeared under Basile’s picture in the Academy yearbook: “* This is a smile.” Basile claims it was a cramp.)
At the end of the year, the fairy left seven little drops of hardened ink in the textbook, pink, purple and white, full of glitter, as a signature. The Fairy Pratchett dice were born. They’re perfect for mischievous fairies, overly serious teachers and players who always read the fine print.
In pearly pink, purple and white glitter acrylic with gold numbers, these polyhedral dice are perfect for your Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder or any roleplaying game (RPG). A dice set with a footnote. *Roll them.
