D&D Dungeons & Dragons: Tomb of Annihilation (EN)

Tomb of Annihilation takes you far from the familiar dungeons, deep into the sweltering jungles of Chult, an isolated peninsula in southern Faerun where even the dead cannot find peace. A mysterious affliction, the death curse, strikes anyone who has ever been raised from the dead: each victim grows weaker by the day, sliding toward an end that no magic can prevent. Your table must track down the Soulmonger, a necromantic artifact hidden somewhere in this hostile land, before the curse spreads across the continent.
The adventure unfolds in three broad phases: exploring the lands of Chult (levels 1-6), passing through the walled city of Port Nyanzaru and the forgotten city it guards (levels 5-9), and finally descending into the tomb itself, a vertical megadungeon packed with deadly traps (level 9 and up). In between, Chult plays out as a true hexcrawl: any area the party crosses can hide a dinosaur, a forgotten ruin, or a trap, in a tropical jungle setting that deliberately breaks from the game's usual European-style realms.
The 256-page hardcover book comes with a fold-out map of Chult, in separate DM and player versions, to track the party's progress hex by hex.
You will likely enjoy Tomb of Annihilation if you want a complete, ready-to-run campaign that takes your group from the very start to a respectable power level, if a jungle survival experience full of dinosaurs and deadly traps appeals to you more than yet another stone dungeon, and if you want a final megadungeon that truly tests your players' preparation.
On release, the module ranked 14th on Publishers Weekly's Hardcover Nonfiction bestseller list (week ending October 2, 2017), selling about 7,152 copies that week alone. Roll20's community site called it the deadliest jungle adventure in the D&D catalog, a demanding survival experience where any area explored can hold a nasty surprise.
The adventure is credited to Christopher Perkins, Will Doyle, and Steve Winter, with additional design by Adam Lee, and unexpected story consulting from Pendleton Ward, creator of the animated series Adventure Time - a collaboration that explains the module's distinctive tone, blending tropical horror with dark humor. The book is published by Wizards of the Coast.
The Player's Handbook and the Dungeon Master's Guide for Dungeons & Dragons 5e remain the core references for running this adventure at your table.
