Endeavor: Age of Expansion breathes new life into one of the most elegant management games of the last decade. This official expansion for Endeavor: Age of Sail keeps the smooth action system that made the series a hit, but entirely replaces the building market and the resource cards with a brand-new set. The result: the same great feel, but games that play out very differently from one session to the next.

At the heart of this expansion sits a set of 49 Building cards that replace those from the base box, opening the door to new combinations of Industry, Culture, Finance and Influence. Three brand-new concepts make their debut: Trade, Fortify, and Conscription and Mobilization, adding to the actions Age of Sail fans already know well. Seven new decks of Asset cards round things out with a completely reworked symbol distribution, while the new Prominence feature opens up a whole new playing field in Europe, with tiles that offer new ways to score Glory.

A nice touch for collectors: the 49 new Building cards are double-sided, with the original base-box buildings printed on the back. That means you can fully replace your original set with this new one, in the very same box, and switch back whenever you like. Originally funded through crowdfunding, this expansion has gathered more than 700 ratings on BoardGameGeek with an average score above 8 out of 10, a sign of a very warm welcome among fans of the series.

This expansion is designed by Jarratt Gray, who co-created Endeavor: Age of Sail with Carl de Visser before returning solo to build this content-packed follow-up. The duo later teamed up again for Endeavor: Deep Sea, proof that the Endeavor formula keeps evolving game after game while keeping its strategic DNA intact.

This box is an expansion: it requires the Endeavor: Age of Sail base game to be played, since it replaces the original building market and resource cards rather than adding to them.
