Long ago, an adventurer freed a mighty djinn trapped inside a swamp. Together, they built the magical city of Cardia, now prosperous but torn apart by four rival factions: the Swamp Rebels, the Academy Scholars, the Mechanical Guild, and the Noble Dynasty. Whoever wins their five signets will rule the city.

In Duel for Cardia (FR), face off against your opponent in a high-tension card duel where every decision counts. Both players hold an identical 16-card deck, each card carrying its own influence value and a unique ability. Each round, both cards are revealed at the same time: the higher value wins a signet, while the losing card triggers its ability, sometimes in devastating fashion.

The heart of the game lies in reading your opponent, managing your hand, and mastering timing. Play a strong card too soon and you hand the advantage to your rival. Wait for the right moment, tweak your cards' influence with modifiers, and use instant or ongoing abilities to turn the duel around.

Games last 15 to 30 minutes, but every match is a real strategic card duel full of bluffing and intuition. The experience is easy to pick up, tense, and endlessly replayable thanks to a second deck and Location cards that adjust the difficulty and keep every session fresh.

Released in 2025, Duel for Cardia quickly climbed the ranks on BoardGameGeek, landing among the top family games on the site. It is also available digitally on Board Game Arena, handy for practicing between in-person matches. An expansion, Guardians of the Wild, expanded the world of Cardia in 2026.
