Each year, the prestigious Community Cup is awarded to the adventurer who gives the most back to their village. In A Wild Venture, you face a rival in a competition that is as fierce as it is friendly. By helping villagers, setting out on adventures and managing your resources wisely, you build your reputation in the community... but be careful, here everything comes down to timing.

A Wild Venture is a strategic card game built around reverse engine-building. The cards you play do not last forever: only those you have fully used up score points. You must decide when to speed up your economy, when to launch adventures and, above all, when to let your engine collapse at just the right moment. Every card is full of combos and meaningful choices, for tense, fresh games with plenty of personality. It is a strategy card game, a two-player duel and a game where managing your timing makes all the difference.

You will probably enjoy A Wild Venture if you like two-player strategic duels, deep card games and original mechanics that reward calculated risk-taking.

Interesting fact: A Wild Venture is built on a rare mechanic where deliberately dismantling your own engine is not only unavoidable, but essential to score points. It plays out as a duel in a whimsical world of adventuring animals, and two expansions, Byways and Revelry, add variety.

The game is designed by Iain Everett and illustrated by Pennie Jo Everett.
