What happens after a mad scientist rides a sandworm into an asteroid belt? The answer is hiding somewhere among the 50 new words in this word game, ready to mix into your regular deck at whatever ratio you like, or even played on their own for two full games using just the 25 double-sided cards. Beyond the words, the box adds 3 new Agent tiles (2 for Codenames, 1 for Codenames Duo) and 4 themed illustrations for groups who also own Codenames Pictures.

Codenames: Science-Fiction is part of a new family of Codenames mini-expansions that appeared in 2026, letting every table customize its word game its own way. This expansion cannot be played on its own: you will need a copy of Codenames (FR) or Codenames Duo (FR) to use it, since it only adds content to one or the other. The 4 illustrations work with Codenames Images (FR).
