ClueBox / Captain Nemo's Nautilus (ML)
- In stock, ready to ship
1870, Paris. After the success of the first novel devoted to Captain Nemo and his submarine the Nautilus, Jules Verne published the sequel to the mysterious captain's story. Shortly before his death, Nemo revealed that he had gathered all of his scientific discoveries and his autobiography inside a small unsinkable container, thrown overboard by the last crew member to leave the Nautilus before the submarine was destroyed. For a long time, people believed Verne had made it all up, until that very unsinkable container was found. It is now in your hands: it is up to you to uncover Captain Nemo's secret and trace his discoveries.
Laser-cut from birch wood, the Nautilus contains 116 wooden pieces assembled by hand, spread across several wheel, lever and sliding-panel mechanisms that must be triggered in the right order to disarm each lock. Expect 60 to 90 minutes to solve the puzzle, solo or with a friend, before reaching the secret compartment hidden at the heart of the submarine. It is the third model in the ClueBox collection, more complex than the line's earlier boxes and built for players already comfortable with this kind of challenge. Once solved, the mechanism resets itself, so the puzzle box can circulate among friends or family without ever spoiling the surprise.
The puzzle is designed and manufactured by iDventure, a German studio specializing in wooden puzzles inspired by adventure and escape worlds.
DIMENSIONS: about 11 x 11 x 12 cm; secret compartment about 2 x 2 x 4 cm.
