Traders and Barbarians (this is the French edition of the game) is the expansion that gathers a wealth of variants and scenarios to breathe new life into your favourite island. You are in charge of transports loaded with stained glass, marble and sand that must be delivered to renovate the great castle of Catan and make it shine brighter than ever. Every delivery brings glory and riches, but watch out for the obstacles scattered along the roads.

This expansion offers four major ways to play that can be combined or chained together into a full campaign. The Barbarian Attack puts you at the head of an army of knights tasked with repelling terrible invaders. The Caravan is ready to visit the settlements and cities, but only the player who bets the right resources will draw it close. The Rivers of Catan let you live the great gold rush along the water, while The Fishermen of Catan test your fishing skills and open up brand new tactical possibilities. This variety is exactly what makes this Catan expansion so special.

You will likely love Traders and Barbarians if you already know Catan inside out and are looking to refresh your experience with new challenges, new pieces and greatly increased replayability. It is also a great gateway to two-player games, a first for the series, letting you face a single opponent across every variant in the box.
