Catan: Cities & Knights plunges you into the heart of a thriving island that must now face a growing threat. Barbarians are approaching, and their invasion will test the solidarity and preparedness of Catan's inhabitants. You will need to strengthen your cities, raise an army of knights, and defend the island fiercely to keep your cities from being plundered. As the pressure mounts, you also open up new economic paths thanks to three commodities that let you build impressive metropolises, powerful protected urban centers that grant influence and extra victory points.

Each turn raises the stakes: sharper negotiations, long-term planning, and the strategic rise of your knights become essential to counter the common threat while pursuing commercial supremacy. This expansion turns the base game into a richer experience where temporary cooperation and direct competition constantly coexist.
