Bonsai: Vigorous Growth and Specialists (EN) expands the original Bonsai game with two optional modules that increase strategic depth and offer new ways to grow your tree.

The Vigorous Growth module introduces three triple tiles that allow players to rapidly accelerate their bonsai’s development. To obtain one, you must discard cards of different types, sacrificing future advantages to gain a powerful tile that immediately enhances your tree. Each player may claim only one per game, making timing and resource management essential.

The Specialists module challenges players to declare mastery over a type of tile: wood, leaf, flower or fruit. This declaration happens only once per game and locks tiles from your supply onto the specialists board as your commitment. If you end the game with the most tiles of that type in your bonsai, you earn significant points.

The modules can be used independently or together, offering a fresh strategic layer while preserving the calming and elegant spirit of Bonsai.

Interesting facts: Specialists is not compatible with solo mode, but Vigorous Growth is fully usable in solo play.
