Welcome to the service of Mad King Ludwig of Bavaria, the eccentric monarch who dreams of ever grander castles. In Between Two Castles of Mad King Ludwig, you do not build one castle but two: one with the player on your left, another with the player on your right. On each turn you choose two tiles, reveal them, then talk it over with your partners to decide where they belong in your shared castles.

The whole charm of this tile-drafting and tile-placement game lies in that shared building: each castle belongs to two players at once, and it is your weaker castle that sets your score. You cannot neglect one neighbour to spoil the other. You will arrange halls, kitchens, gardens and hallways into rewarding combinations while keeping an eye on your partner's plans.
