20 Strong: Tanglewoods Gold pulls you back into the shifting, fairy-tale-gone-dark forest of the 20 Strong system, this time on Goldilocks' trail. This standalone deck swaps the Big Bad Wolf hunt for a face-off against three very real bears, ready to defend their den to the last growl. Like the rest of the Tanglewoods trilogy, the Minion/Fable cards are double-sided: the same card can reveal a threatening enemy or a helpful fable depending on which face you flip up, so the forest looks a little different every run. Between bear fights, stops at the merchant, and tight management of your 20 custom dice, you have to move carefully: not too fast, the porridge is still hot, not too slow, the bears are prowling.

The deck is designed by Josh J. Carlson and Logan Giannini, with art by Serena Schiani and Manny Trembley, also known as co-creator of Dice Throne, giving the three bears and Goldilocks a look all their own within the 20 Strong lineup.

To play, you need the base box 20 Strong: Tanglewoods, which supplies the 20 custom dice, the heavy chip and its magnetic tracker, and the system rulebook; this Gold deck only adds its own cards and a dedicated rulebook.
