In the Valley of the Kings, death is not an end: it is a preparation. Valley of the Kings puts you in the sandals of a noble of ancient Egypt who must gather riches, amulets, statues, and provisions to fill a tomb before the long journey into the afterlife. Each round, a pyramid of cards rises before the players: you buy a card from its base, and the pyramid crumbles to bring the cards above down to the bottom, constantly renewing the chance to enrich your funerary collection.

At the heart of the game lies an original deck-building system: every card can be used for its gold value or for its special action, but only the cards you entomb for good leave your deck to become victory points. A constant dilemma takes hold: keep a powerful card to use its effect again, or bury it right away to lock in its points before the game ends? This tension between immediate efficiency and funerary wealth is what gives Valley of the Kings its bite.

This Premium Edition brings together the three standalone games in the series (the base game, Afterlife, and Last Rites) in a single box, along with six exclusive unique cards and extra components for up to six players. A solo mode is also included, perfect for exploring Egyptian tombs even without an opponent.

The game's name pays tribute to the real Valley of the Kings near Luxor, where several pharaohs, including Tutankhamun, were buried: its theme draws directly from the funerary rites of ancient Egypt, where it was believed you could take your belongings into the afterlife. This Premium Edition is also the most complete release in the series to date, bundling more than 294 artifact cards and all three standalone chapters published since 2014 into one self-contained game, playable solo or with up to six.

The game is designed by Tom Cleaver, known for his historically themed card games, with artwork by Banu Andaru bringing the treasures and pharaohs of this reimagined ancient Egypt to life.
