Emblèmes (FR)

*French version

In a kingdom without an heir, the great families are fighting over the vacant throne. In Emblèmes (FR), a card game of bluffing and opportunism, you must place the right characters in the right spots at the right time to collect more gold than your rivals.

Each round, you secretly choose a card, weighing its influence value and its effect, then place it face down in front of you. All players then reveal their card in turn and place it in one of the kingdom's three locations: the Castle, the Village or the Port. At the end of the round, gold coins reward the players whose cards have the highest value in each location. It is simple, surprising and just chaotic enough that the cleverest (or boldest) players come out on top. This bluffing game plays in about 20 minutes, perfect for chaining rematches.

Emblèmes is for you if you enjoy majority games where you have to guess what the others are up to, if you want a family card game that is easy to teach but full of sneaky plays, or if you are looking for a small game to bring out on game night with three to five players. It shines especially with 4 players.

Did you know? Cards are chosen secretly and simultaneously, which creates constant tension: do you play your strongest card right away or bet on an effect that will foil the others' plans? Emblèmes was released in 2025.

Emblèmes was designed by Adrien Bonnard and Romaric Galonnier, with illustrations by Janice Perreux that bring to life the medieval atmosphere of the kingdom's great families.
