Amid the scorching dunes of the Sahara, two Tuareg tribe leaders face off for control of the trade routes in Targi, an engrossing two-player board game by Kosmos. The board forms a five-by-five grid: a border of sixteen action spaces surrounds a central zone of nine spaces where the round's cards are revealed. Each player places Targi figures one at a time on the border spaces, never on a space already occupied by the opponent nor directly across from them, turning worker placement into a genuine game of psychological chess. The triggered actions let you gather dates, salt, and pepper, stockpile gold, and above all secure the coveted tribe cards, which build a display of three rows of four cards and earn victory points based on their value and combinations. This head-to-head duel plays differently every time, with each match forcing new positioning dilemmas.
