Sauros is a clever board game that blends trick-taking game mechanics with tile placement in a vibrant prehistoric setting. Each trick, players play a tile to compete for control, but the twist is that the trump suit changes every time, constantly reshaping the strategy and forcing players to adapt.

When you win a trick, you gain tiles that must be placed on your personal player mat. Each asymmetric mat features unique scoring conditions, pushing you to rethink your strategy every round. Placement is key: tiles must be placed adjacent to one another, and symbols like eggs, teeth, footprints, and bones directly impact scoring .

The game unfolds over several rounds made of multiple tricks. After each round, player mats are rotated, completely shifting how you approach the game. At the end, all points are combined to determine the winner.
