In Metro Bingo, a numbered tile is drawn each turn and everyone must write that number on their own subway map, carefully choosing where to place it. The challenge: build the longest streams of numbers that never go down, because the longer your subway line runs straight without backing up, the more points you score. Identical numbers side by side do not break a stream. Every draw can help you... or leave you in a bind! The basic sheet has twenty spaces in a line, and three other sheets with crossing lines or a circular layout keep the puzzle fresh from one game to the next.
Metro Bingo is for you if you like mental agility games where everyone plays at the same time, with no downtime. It is a quick paper-and-pencil game that is easy to teach and perfect for family, friends or even solo play. You will probably enjoy this little challenge of numbers and luck if you like games of about 10 minutes that you can chain together without getting tired of them.
The game is by Yoshihisa Itsubaki and illustrated by Emilie Bertolin and Ian Parovel. It is based on Streams, by the same designer. Its simple tile game and scoring formula is reminiscent of bingo, but with a good dose of thinking added.
