The games in the L'As des jeux Bazar are pre-played games. They have been inspected by one of our game experts and are certified "Complete." You may find some minor imperfections, such as light wear on the box or on certain game components.

In Fearz!, you creep into a haunted forest crawling with vampires, ghosts, witches and werewolves. Each player secretly gets the card of the one creature that terrifies them. On every turn, a Fear card is revealed showing several monsters at once: whenever YOUR creature shows up, you must instantly give yourself away with your own private tell - coughing, covering your eyes, scratching yourself, or bursting out laughing. The real challenge is watching everyone else closely enough to figure out what spooks them, before they figure out what spooks you. This party card game is played in real time: everyone plays at once, and a round wraps up in barely ten minutes. Fearz! even offers three ways to play: cards only, the free app on tablet, or both combined for an even wilder experience.

Fearz! is the very first game born from the collaboration between Bruno Faidutti and German designer Anja Wrede, a duo who went on to build a whole series of games around fear and animal themes. Unusual for a board game released in 2016: Fearz! launched with both a classic card version and a digital app right from the start, a hybrid format that is still fairly rare today. The app-only mode is capped at four players, while the card mode welcomes up to ten people around the table.

The game is signed by Bruno Faidutti, a name well known to gamers for titles like Citadels, Mascarade, and Incan Gold, here joined by Berlin-based designer Anja Wrede. The colorful, slightly cartoonish artwork is the work of Nicolas Tham. Fearz! was published by Don't Panic Games in 2016.

No special accessories are needed to play: the cards are all you need. If you want to mix things up, a free app, available on iOS and Android, adds a digital play mode alongside or instead of the cards.
