  • Top 10 Best Sellers – September 2026

September means back to routine: lunches to pack, homework on the kitchen table… and game nights making their way back home. With the days getting shorter, we feel like pulling out a box after dinner more than ever.

And this month, we have a new champion! After a long streak of first places for Flip 7, another game finally makes it to the top step of the podium. Three newcomers also join the list. Here are the 10 games that stood out at L'As des jeux in September 2026.

    🥇 1 - Got Five

What a comeback! Ninth in August, Got Five leaps all the way to first place, a first for it since it joined our ranking in May. It's also its fifth straight month in the Top 10.

In this logic game, everyone can see the numbers in front of their opponents… but not their own. To figure out your five hidden tiles, you have to ask the right questions, watch for clues and rule out possibilities, turn after turn. All the information stays visible on the table, so every game becomes a puzzle you solve together. Fast and accessible, Got Five proves that a deduction game can be a real family game.

    Players: 2 to 4
    Play time: 15 minutes
    Age: 8+

    🥈 2 - Flip 7: With a Vengeance

Flip 7 gives up the throne, but it's far from gone! Its With a Vengeance version finishes second, and the Flip 7 family marks a 14th straight month in our Top 10. The idea stays the same: flip cards to rack up points without ever revealing the same number twice.

Here, the bonus cards from the original make way for nastier action cards that let you steal, swap or discard cards, or force an opponent to flip several more. The Lucky 13, Unlucky 7 and Zero cards add their own twist. Perfect for groups who love dirty tricks and reversals.

    Players: 3 to 20
    Play time: 20 minutes
    Age: 8+

    🥉 3 - Athlètes de compète

After entering at tenth place in August under its English name, Magical Athlete, the game climbs onto the podium thanks to the arrival of its French edition, Athlètes de compète. For this ranking, we combined the sales of both editions.

Every runner has a completely absurd power: the Banana trips up its opponents, the Big Baby refuses to share its space and the Centaur sends the others backwards. Before the competition, each player recruits a team of four athletes, then secretly picks which one to line up for each race. The races alternate between the mild side and the wild side of the board, and after four races, the player with the most points wins. Simple rules, fun dirty tricks and a game that can swing right up to the very end!

    Players: 2 to 6
    Play time: 30 minutes
    Age: 6+

    4 - Miams

Second in August, Miams slips to fourth place, but stays in the Top 10 for a third month in a row. On each turn, you roll the dice to make a pair, three of a kind, four of a kind, a full house or the famous Miams, then move up your sheet to collect the hearts you need to win.

The Miams cards change the value of the fruits and add bonuses, so you can build juicier and juicier combos. An ordinary roll can suddenly pay off big!

    Players: 1 to 5
    Play time: 30 minutes
    Age: 10+

    5 - Panorama

First appearance in the ranking for Panorama, a new release from Le Scorpion Masqué, the Montreal publisher behind Decrypto and Sky Team. Settled comfortably in your hot-air balloon, you fly over a landscape you build yourself, one tile at a time: rivers, flowery meadows and clear skies take shape before your eyes.

The little challenge: the farther from your balloon you take a tile, the better the choices you leave for the others. At the end of the game, animals and flowers score points based on how they're placed, and variable goals (the longest river, the clearest sky…) make every game different. Fun fact: Panorama is designed by Jules Messaud, the same designer as Miams, just above it in this ranking!

    Players: 2 to 4
    Play time: 20 minutes
    Age: 8+

    6 - Twist 19

After its spot on the podium in August, Twist 19 drops to sixth place, but marks a third straight month among our best sellers. The goal: empty your hand by playing values lower than the ones already on the table.

The special cards shake things up: the Banana makes you lose a turn, the Pineapple cuts the game and the Fruit Salad forces an opponent to pick up the cards. Small, fast and full of sneaky attacks, it slips easily into a school bag or a lunch box.

    Players: 2 to 6
    Play time: 20 minutes
    Age: 8+

    7 - Hitster – Soundtracks FILMS & TV

After three months in a row in fourth place, Hitster – Soundtracks FILMS & TV drops to seventh. It still stays in the Top 10 for a fifth straight month since its big entrance at the top in May.

You scan a card with the app, listen to the clip on Spotify and try to place it in the right spot on your timeline. Iconic movie themes and TV show openings: every card brings back memories. Quick reminder: this is an expansion, so you need a base version of Hitster to play.

    Players: 2 to 10
    Play time: 30 minutes
    Age: 16+

    8 - Skyjo

Skyjo moves from fifth to eighth place, but reaches a nice milestone: a tenth straight month among our best sellers! Each player tries to lower the value of their 12-card grid by swapping out high numbers for better options.

When a column of three identical cards is completed, it disappears from the grid. A small rule that creates great reversals! Accessible and multigenerational, Skyjo is still a safe bet for any occasion.

    Players: 2 to 8
Play time: 15 to 45 minutes

    9 - Dumpster Dice

New entry for Dumpster Dice, a dice game you can pull out in two seconds. Each player tries to fill the spaces from 1 to 6 on the dumpster lid. A free number? Your die takes its place. A duplicate? Straight into the trash!

Whoever completes the set picks up the six dice on the lid, and the last player who still has dice wins. With its 80 dice in four colours, games that last a few minutes and four variants included, it's the kind of game you replay again and again. The dumpster also doubles as storage, handy!

    Players: 2 to 4
Play time: 5 to 10 minutes
    Age: 6+

    10 - Ice Split

Ice Split closes out the list for its first appearance in the ranking. In this little card game, every card hides a dilemma: play it on its goal side to score points later, or on its flavour side to fill your ice cream display.

Since you can only add cards to either end of your row, the order becomes more and more strategic. When every display holds 13 cards, you score points based on the revealed goals: sets, runs, rarity or variety. An incomplete goal scores nothing, so it's all about timing!

    Players: 2 to 4
    Play time: 15 minutes
    Age: 8+

    September 2026 in review

September brings a change at the top: Got Five takes the lead for the first time and ends Flip 7's streak, though Flip 7 stays firmly in second place. Athlètes de compète takes advantage of its French edition's arrival to climb onto the podium.

Panorama, Dumpster Dice and Ice Split join the list, proof that small, quick, easy-to-explain games are still a hit at back-to-school time. And Skyjo keeps rolling along with a tenth month in a row in the ranking.

Fall is settling in, the evenings are getting longer and the holidays are coming fast… The next rankings promise to be very interesting!

Play more. Laugh more. Make memories.
