Wine & Cheese takes you to the heart of Burgundy, where you and your opponent each run a family farm devoted to producing wine and cheese. You share the same vineyards, the same pastures, and sometimes even the same workers, but make no mistake: the rivalry between neighbours is fierce. Over two full years, you'll send your workers out in pairs each spring to gather ingredients, then bring them home in autumn at just the right moment to make the most of every harvest. The real challenge doesn't stop at production: you also need to age, then sell, your wine and cheese at the exact moment the market favours you most. This original blend of worker placement and card management makes Wine & Cheese a duel that feels both elegant and tense, where every timing decision can tip the whole game.

Here's the twist: at the end of the two years, only the product that earned you the LEAST money counts toward victory. Wine & Cheese is the spiritual successor to Beer & Bread, the farmers' duel from the same designer, but takes the experience further with reworked mechanics and added strategic depth. The game builds around a brand new paired-worker system: workers are sent out and brought back in pairs, forcing you to plan your moves well ahead of time. Another neat detail: Burgundy, a region famed for pairing great wines with fine cheeses, provides an authentic backdrop for the whole game.

Behind Wine & Cheese is designer Scott Almes, known for the Tiny Epic series (Tiny Epic Galaxies, Tiny Epic Kingdoms), Martian Dice, and Beer & Bread. The artwork comes from Michael Menzel and Alexander Jung, whose warm style brings the vineyards and cheese cellars of Burgundy to life.
