On the box of Wasgij Junior #3, Enchanted Encounters, a little girl dressed as a princess, complete with a pink gown and golden tiara, wanders through the Animal Adventure park with her magic wand, and clearly, a spell has just gone sideways. A winged unicorn takes flight mid-whinny, a green dragon breathes fire, and llamas and sheep scatter in every direction while the park's overwhelmed keepers try to regain control. Off to the side, a red-haired visitor already has her hand over her mouth, stunned by what she sees coming.

That is exactly the fun of the Wasgij collection: the picture printed on the box is never the picture you actually puzzle together. It is only a clue for guessing what happens a few moments later. With Wasgij Junior, designed for young detectives ages 8 and up, the concept borrows from the popular adult Wasgij Mystery series, but in a simplified format with larger pieces suited to smaller hands: instead of rebuilding the animal park scene shown here, kids must imagine and assemble what happens right after the princess's wand causes its mischief.

Every Wasgij Junior box becomes a chance to build a child's imagination and logic, since no reference image exists anywhere for this puzzle: only deduction reveals where each piece belongs. This original approach, which has driven the success of the Wasgij series since it began, turns a simple puzzle into a genuine little investigation. The animal-park encounter was illustrated by Aaron Blecha, who has also created several other entries in the Wasgij series and is known for his colorful style and crowds full of characters in full commotion.
