Dive into the icy world of the Cold War with Vienna Connection, a cooperative game of investigation for 1 to 5 players designed by Ignacy Trzewiczek. In 1977, an American citizen named James Werner is found murdered in the streets of Vienna. You and your team of CIA agents must work together to solve this murder, which hides a sprawling international conspiracy, as you travel across Europe through four missions tied together by one continuous story, from Vienna to Berlin by way of Prague.

Vienna Connection reuses the investigation system popularized by the award-winning Detective: A Modern Crime Board Game, while adding brand new mechanics built around espionage: managing informants, paying bribes, decoding secret messages, and analyzing wiretapped conversations. Dig through a dossier of over 100 pages of Top Secret files, recruit local agents, infiltrate the criminal underworld, and negotiate with the local press to unmask the culprits before it's too late.

You will most likely enjoy Vienna Connection if you love painstaking investigations, if you enjoy combing through every clue before drawing a conclusion, and if the idea of forming a team of make-believe secret agents for a whole evening makes you smile. It's a great party game for groups who thrive on debate, theories, and plot twists, and it plays just as well solo for the investigator who trusts their own instincts.

Vienna Connection reuses the same investigation system as Detective: A Modern Crime Board Game, transposing it into the hushed world of 1970s espionage. Each of the four missions comes with two copies of its mission sheet, letting you relive the investigation a second time without starting from scratch. The game also comes with audio recordings in Russian and German, with English subtitles, to pull you even deeper into the Cold War atmosphere.

Vienna Connection was created by Ignacy Trzewiczek, well known for Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island, Detective: A Modern Crime Board Game, and Imperial Settlers, alongside co-designers Jakub Poczęty, Przemysław Rymer, and Jakub Łapot.
