Tortuga 2199 sends you to a former mining colony of the Interstellar Confederation, now a hideout for pirates and insurgents since the miners' rebellion. In this strategy game built around deck building, you play the captain of a pirate ship and aim to become the most powerful in the sector. Upgrade your ship, hire new crew members, explore the planet's sectors and conquer them, fight space beasts and board your rivals' ships. Every action boosts your influence and rallies the pirate clans a little more to your cause.
Tortuga 2199 is for you if you enjoy building your deck as the game unfolds, if area control makes you want to plan your conquests and if the world of space pirates sparks your imagination. The modular board is rearranged from one game to the next, which keeps exploration fresh every time.
