Thunder Road - Vendetta Deluxe (EN)

Thunder Road: Vendetta - Deluxe Edition drops you onto a wasteland highway where every turn could be your last. This reimagining of the 1986 classic by Restoration Games turns your table into a motorized battleground: gather your crew, roll your action dice, push your car to the max, and fire the guns mounted on your hood to send your rivals into the scenery. Random hazard tokens - wrecks, oil slicks, debris - pop up and reshape the road every round, and damage is never settled in one hit: every damage token you draw can send your car careening across the board. Each turn you split your dice between repairing your ride, triggering a nitro boost, or sending in your attack chopper for support, opening up real strategy despite the chaos. The modular road board, practically endless once you link sections together, guarantees no race ever plays out the same way.

You'll likely love Thunder Road: Vendetta if you're after a high octane racing game where improvising and dirty tricks matter just as much as strategy. Fans of post apocalyptic vibes, tricked out cars, and games that take a hard turn with every die roll will flip for this Deluxe Edition, built for game nights with 2 to 4 drivers ready to wreck each other with a grin.

Thunder Road: Vendetta won Light Game of the Year at the 2023 Golden Geek Awards, proof that this dice game manages to pair simple rules with real tension on every turn. This Deluxe Edition, the Kickstarter version of the base game, stands out with 20 washed miniatures for extra depth and comes packed with the Extra Ammo expansion (54 cards), usually sold separately, to shake up the road from your very first game. If you want to push the experience even further, Thunder Road: Ignition (EN) can be combined with Vendetta as an official expansion.

The game is credited to the Restoration Games design team, led by Rob Daviau - known for Legacy games like Pandemic Legacy and Risk Legacy - alongside Justin D. Jacobson, Brett Myers, Dave Chalker, Noah Cohen, Jim Keifer, and Brian Neff. The explosive, action poster style art comes from Marie Bergeron, who also illustrated several other products in the series.
