This puzzle from the Tales Around the World collection celebrates the original Danish tale The Snow Queen, written by Hans Christian Andersen long before the animated movie Frozen. First published in 1844, The Snow Queen is one of Andersen's richest tales, following young Kai, bewitched by a shard of a magic mirror, and his friend Gerda, who sets off to save him across an icy kingdom. This puzzle is not connected to Disney's Frozen: it draws directly from the original Danish text.
