The Crew: Journey to the Ends of the Earth sends your team racing across the globe against the clock, hot on the trail of Charlemagne's lost treasure. Your crew follows clues that lead, in turn, to the summit of Mount Everest, deep into the Amazon rainforest, and to a handful of other destinations as breathtaking as they are dangerous. Every round is a trick to win, every stage a mission to complete together: this third entry in the series keeps the cooperative trick-taking formula that made the line famous, while adding a brand new mission system and a logbook that unfolds the journey's 25 stages in order. You win together or you lose together, with no individual scoring: the only pressure is coordinating your plans without giving too much away, since openly discussing your hand is forbidden. The few communication tokens let you signal, once per mission, whether a card is your highest, lowest, or only card of a color, adding a layer of deduction and mutual trust to every round.

You'll likely love The Crew: Journey to the Ends of the Earth if you thrive on team challenges where limited communication keeps the table on edge, if classic trick-taking games (like whist or bridge) have already won you over, and if you're after a game that evolves: with 25 stages to clear in order, the difficulty ramps up gradually and every mission unlocks a new twist. Groups who love winning or losing as one, with no leader and no asymmetric roles, will be right at home.

This hunt for Charlemagne's treasure doesn't (yet) have any awards of its own, but it inherits a solid pedigree: the very first game in the series, The Crew: The Quest for Planet Nine, won the prestigious Kennerspiel des Jahres in 2020, a rare honor for a card game that looks so simple on the surface. Journey to the Ends of the Earth is the series' third adventure, following Mission Deep Sea, and it breaks new ground with a narrative logbook that gives the 25 stages a real throughline, almost like an exploration season to follow chapter by chapter.

The game is designed by Thomas Sing, a German designer who has been exploring cooperative trick-taking mechanics for over a decade; on top of the Kennerspiel des Jahres he won for the original The Crew, he also created The Crew: Mission Deep Sea and The Crew Family, a version built for younger players that keeps the series' spirit without the trick-taking. The illustrations and graphic design for Journey to the Ends of the Earth come from studio Fiore GmbH, bringing to life the landscapes the crew crosses, from Everest's snowy summit to the lush bends of the Amazon.
