That Old Wallpaper takes you back to that one room from your childhood, with the loud patterns and warm colors nobody in the family could ever forget. In this fast-paced card game, you compete for stacks of wallpaper cards laid out across a handful of locations: every round, all players make a simultaneous pick of a spot, and only the one who picked it alone gets to keep the cards sitting there. Land on the same spot as someone else, and you both get a hazy memory card instead - a wallpaper fragment that only shows its pattern along one edge instead of all four. Every new card you collect goes straight onto your own wall, where you attempt some careful pattern matching across four different colors (or lean on the wild pattern to bail you out of an awkward spot). At the end of the game, your hazy memory cards fill in whatever gaps remain along the edges of your wall, then scoring begins: for each color, your score is the number of large symbols multiplied by the number of small symbols of that same color. Miss either size entirely, and that whole color earns you nothing!

That Old Wallpaper is for you if you enjoy quick games to pull out with friends or family, where sharp observation and a bit of anticipation make all the difference. It is a great family card game for nights when you want something easy to teach but clever enough to keep everyone hooked until the very last round. Fun fact: That Old Wallpaper leans on real visual memory, since the hazy memory card only shows one side of its pattern - you have to guess how it will line up with the rest! This simultaneous-pick mechanic, fairly uncommon in family card games, creates fun tension every round: aiming for the same spot as an opponent can cost you both.
