The bustling market of Nottingham is filled with goods from all over the kingdom. Most are entirely legal, but Prince John wants to make sure no contraband gets sold. He has tasked the Sheriff with inspecting the merchants' wares... and the Sheriff is shrewd, but not above taking a small bribe to look the other way. In Sheriff of Nottingham 2nd Edition (FR), a bluffing card game for 3 to 6 players, everyone takes a turn as the Sheriff while the others, as merchants, try to stock their stall with the best goods.

Each round, merchants fill a bag, close it and declare what is inside... telling the truth or not. The Sheriff may inspect any bag, but beware: if the merchant was honest, the Sheriff pays the penalty. Between promises, threats and bribe offers, negotiation gives every game its flavor. This 2nd edition features updated rules and includes the 6th Merchant, the Black Market and the Sheriff's Deputies right in the box.

Sheriff of Nottingham is for you if you love to bluff, negotiate and read your opponents' faces. You will probably enjoy this party game if you want a quick-to-teach social game that brings as many laughs as sweaty palms, and that shines especially with 5 players.

The game was designed by Sérgio Halaban and André Zatz, and the artwork of this edition is by Davide Tosello. An expansion, Festival of Nottingham, is also available to extend the fun once you have mastered the box.
