The greatest sorcerers in the kingdom gather at the heart of the Argos forest to compete in the legendary tournament of the twelve seasons. Over three years of competition, each player takes on the role of a wizard who gathers ancestral magic items and summons the most loyal familiars, hoping to become the new archmage of the kingdom of Xidit. Seasons (FR) is a strategy game that combines card drafting, dice management and tight calculation: during the prelude, you build your hand of nine power cards, then split it into three packs of three, one for each year of the tournament. Each round, a different season die opens new possibilities - harvesting energy, raising your invocation gauge or turning your resources into crystals, the true currency of victory. Since the rules shift with the seasons (energy that is scarce in winter becomes abundant in summer, for example), you must constantly adjust your strategy to optimize every hand and gather as many prestige points as possible before the third year ends.

Seasons is for you if you enjoy demanding wizard games where every card matters, where resource management and dice reading make all the difference between victory and defeat. This game will appeal to experienced players who want a calculated challenge, rich in card combinations, without relying only on luck.

Released in 2012, Seasons found immediate success, earning a nomination for the prestigious As d'Or 2013, France's top board game honor. The game now has two expansions, Enchanted Kingdom and Path of Destiny, adding new cards and new powers to refresh every game.

Seasons was created by Régis Bonnessée, who also co-designed the popular Dixit (Spiel des Jahres 2010) and created Dice Forge. The enchanting illustrations, signed by Naiade with contributions from Stéphane Gantiez, bring the Argos forest and its four seasons to life with a richness of detail that invites exploration.
