Seashells is a family board game that invites you to a beautiful day for a walk on the beach. Sixty-four treasures are laid out on the sand in a grid: shells in seven shapes and seven colours, fossils, sand dollars and messages in a bottle. On your turn, you move the shared bucket along its row or column as far as you like and collect the piece where it stops. Each shell goes on your towel, where its shape and colour meet, as you build the best shell collection on the beach.

The challenge is choosing where to leave the bucket, since every move changes the options of the next player. A complete fossil (head and tail) earns 3 coins, a sand dollar is worth 1, and a bottle lets you play an extra turn. At the end, whoever holds the most shells of each shape and each colour scores, with one secret shape card and one secret colour card each counting as an extra shell. The simple rules are learned in minutes, and a stroll variant (Stroll Mode) changes the scenery to keep games fresh.

Seashells is for you if you enjoy accessible collection games where every choice counts, if you want a quick game to bring out with family or friends, or if you want to introduce players aged 6 and up to decision making and majorities without long explanations.

Seashells grew out of the prototype Flower Bouquet, presented by Bruno Faidutti in February 2025, before the flower meadow theme was swapped for a shell beach. Bruno Faidutti is also known for games such as Citadels and Mission: Red Planet. The bright, colourful illustrations are by Christopher Ryan Chan.
