Tucked into the English countryside, Rose Cottage reveals a half-timbered cottage topped with a warm terracotta tile roof and flanked by two brick chimneys. A tree in white blossom spills over the roofline while climbing roses in pink and red wrap around the turquoise front door and the rendered walls. In front of the house, a low stone wall borders a flower-filled garden where blue and pink delphiniums, mauve clematis and climbing roses create a festival of color along a stone path. On the wall, next to a wooden sign reading "Rose Cottage," a ginger tabby cat stands watch beside a curled-up ginger-and-white companion. Rose Cottage is the very first title in the Country Cottage Collection, a puzzle series celebrating the prettiest flower-covered cottages of the British countryside since 2007. This opening image set the tone for the entire collection, now grown to more than a dozen equally picturesque scenes. The 1000 pieces, printed on a textured paper that reduces glare, let you recreate every petal and every brick with precision, for a challenge that is as relaxing as it is rewarding. The scene is signed by Howard Robinson, an illustrator known for painting cottages and gardens with postcard-level detail, who has made the Country Cottage Collection one of the most beloved puzzle series among fans of countryside scenes.
