RA & Write takes you to the banks of the Nile, in the age of the pharaohs, to build your own civilization one pencil stroke at a time. This flip-and-write game captures the mood and gorgeous artwork of the modern edition of the beloved Ra, but in a fast, approachable format: every Ra card revealed pushes players to fill in boxes on their scoresheet, advancing their civilization's agriculture, monuments, religion, and technology. The game unfolds over three rounds called Kingdoms (the Old Kingdom, the Middle Kingdom, and the New Kingdom), and each Kingdom ends as soon as three Ra cards have been revealed. Once all three Kingdoms are complete, the civilization with the most points wins the game.

RA & Write is for you if you enjoy fast-paced games, roll-and-write style scoresheet filling, and the idea of rediscovering a classic in a new shape. Its short format and small footprint make it a great pick for game night with friends or family, even with up to five players at the table.

Fun fact: RA & Write is a flip-and-write take on the beloved Ra, originally published in 1999 and still regarded as a classic board game for its bidding mechanics. This new version reuses the artwork by Ian O'Toole created for the modern reissue of the original game, giving fans of the classic a familiar feel, but with minimal setup: just a sheet and a pencil are all you need.

The game is designed by Reiner Knizia, one of the most prolific designers in board game history, also behind titles as varied as Ra, Tigris & Euphrates, and Amun-Re. The artwork is by Ian O'Toole, known for his distinctive style applied across several games in the same visual family.
