On the box of Colourful Portfolio, an old-school desktop computer has its screen turned into a giant mood board of illustrations pinned up like an inspiration wall. In the upper left corner, the smiling, freckled face of a character in an orange beret sits inside a mustard-yellow circle, surrounded by rows of doodles: waves, dots and little hearts. Below it, an "I heart fruit" panel shows a watermelon, a banana, an apple and a pear with playful faces. Elsewhere on the screen, a hand holds a bouquet of pink flowers under a crescent moon and sparkles, a rainbow arches over a multicolored triangle, a sun smiles, an orange pine tree stands tall and a spotted cat watches over the scene. Below this screen-portfolio, a real desk takes shape: a sun-face mug releasing a curl of steam, a computer mouse, two pencil cups (one pastel-blue floral, one yellow polka-dot) overflowing with colored pencils, and a ruler. It all stands out against a coral-pink background, anchored by a black-and-orange leopard-print rug.

This 500-piece puzzle belongs to a small series illustrated by the same hand: the shop also carries Celestial Mapping, another puzzle by Teresa Bellon, this one a 1000-piece take on astronomy. The pieces, thicker than average, get a precise cut with a variable grid and a matte finish that cuts down on glare, perfect for long assembly evenings.

Teresa Bellon is an illustrator based in Spain, known for simple, colourful and naive compositions. She draws inspiration from her travels, from illustrated books and from her walks around Madrid, a world that comes through fully in this playful portrait of a creative space.
