At the top of the mountain, the friendly mammoth Lino has uncovered precious resources that come tumbling down the slope in a joyful jumble. In Paleolino (FR), a cooperative game the whole family can enjoy, you set off on an expedition deep into prehistory to build your village before Lino falls asleep. Each turn, a player shakes the biface full of resource tokens - wood, stones, berries and precious crystals - then lets them roll down the mountain into the caves.

The whole challenge rests on your memory: watch closely which cave each resource vanishes into, because you will need to remember to grab it at the right moment. Collected pieces are used to craft inventions, each one requiring a precise combination of resources. Crystals act as wild cards and add a bit of flexibility, while each player's little backpack lets you stash one resource to help the team. You talk it over, plan and lend a hand: the game is won when the village holds ten completed inventions, but if resources run out, Lino falls asleep and the adventure ends.

Paleolino is for you if you are after a cooperative memory game to introduce little ones to the joy of playing together. With its two difficulty levels, it grows with your children and stays fresh game after game, perfect for short 15-minute sessions with the family.

Fun fact: Paleolino draws its inspiration from the acclaimed cooperative game Paleo and offers a gentle gateway into it for young adventurers. Beyond the fun, it quietly sharpens visual memory, observation, coordination and fine motor skills.

The game is designed by Marco Teubner, an author well known for his children's games, and brought to life by illustrator Marcel Gröber, whose colourful artwork drops players straight into the prehistoric mood.
