Line up four makis of the same color before your opponent does! Maki-San is a two-player strategy game that turns every match into a quick duel around a bamboo mat. Makis are drawn from a bag and placed in a line, and each turn you choose one of three actions: draw a maki and place it at either end of the line, flip a maki to change its color, or move any maki to one of the ends. For more advanced games, a wasabi token lets you trigger a special action and spice up the duel.

Maki-San is for you if you enjoy fast duels where memory and deduction matter as much as a good bluff. You will probably enjoy this small themed game that is easy to teach and easy to bring along, perfect when you want a rematch after only a few minutes.

Maki-San was released in 2026. Its compact box and 5 to 15 minute games make it an ideal two-player board game for any occasion. The game comes in four box colors, but the contents are identical.

The game was designed by Maxime Iaciancio and Marc Lagroy.
