L'Herbier, Carole Barraud (1000 pcs)
- In stock, ready to ship
Behind a lime-green facade straight out of a postcard, the L'Herbier flower shop throws its doors wide open onto a genuine green oasis in the heart of the neighborhood. A spectacular pink wisteria spills over the roof and brushes against the hand-painted sign, while a flock of birds swirls above the window that reads "Fleurs, plantes, semis" (Flowers, plants, seeds). On either side of the door, palm trees, ferns, sunflowers and hydrangeas overflow from displays and wicker baskets, creating a lush scene worthy of a true urban greenhouse.
In front of the shop, a customer in an orange checkered skirt and a white headscarf proudly holds a freshly wrapped bouquet, while an elegant passerby in a hat and a patterned long coat lingers over a display of small potted flowers guarded by a mischievous garden gnome. A black-and-white cat naps on a wooden chair, a few birds peck along the sidewalk, and a nearby newsstand advertising a local festival adds a charming touch of neighborhood life to this gentle scene.
This jigsaw puzzle is part of a small collection of neighborhood shops by the same artist, each one bursting with color and tiny details to discover - a fun challenge for any puzzle collector. The 1000 pieces, all uniquely shaped, fit together without ever repeating, and the image's matte finish eliminates glare for a comfortable assembly experience.
The scene is signed by Carole Barraud, an illustrator based in Lyon who works with markers, watercolor and digital tools to capture everyday little joys with a vivid palette and a playful line. Her colorful world, where nature always finds its way in, also appears in other scenes from the same series, including one featuring an open-air market.
