In Let Them Eat Cake, royalty has just fallen and the Revolutionary Committee is now in charge - but there is still all that good cake to divide among comrades! You play an ambitious committee member, ready to vote, bribe and switch sides to climb the ranks before everyone else. Each round, the group elects a series of key positions: Head of Committee, Enemy of the Revolution, Guillotine Operator, Secretary and Food Inspector. Every election is decided in secret: you pick a card to name the person you support, and the number of pawns you have left multiplies your voice. Alliances form and break at guillotine speed, and a played card only returns to your hand once your whole deck is spent, forcing fresh schemes and fresh betrayals round after round. The first player to stack up 40 cakes wins the game - as long as they have not lost every pawn along the way!

Let Them Eat Cake is for you if you love parties where alliances flip every round and nobody can fully trust anybody. This party game runs entirely on interaction: loud-mouthed negotiation, friendly blackmail and last-second reversals are what make the evening. If you enjoy persuading, scheming and laughing at your friends' bad luck more than winning at all costs, this one is likely to become a regular at your game nights.

Fun fact: in Let Them Eat Cake, your vote power is not fixed - it depends directly on how many pawns you have left, which means a pawn lost to the guillotine permanently weakens your voice for the rest of the game. This weighted-vote mechanic, combined with the fact that you cannot replay a voting card until your whole hand has cycled through, forces players to keep rethinking their alliances instead of leaning on a single strategy from start to finish.

Let Them Eat Cake is designed by Peer Sylvester, a designer also known for The Lost Expedition and The King Is Dead, two games praised for their tight mechanics and their tough choices. The darkly funny illustrations are by Lauren Dawson, who gives this pastry-fueled revolution its wicked tone.
