Dive into a colorful reef where every card counts! In Fugu, a pocket-sized family card game, you build the best marine ecosystem by lining up fish, octopuses and corals. Bannerfish love sticking close to their buddies, pufferfish prefer their space, and octopuses and corals score big when placed wisely.

The twist? Your cards start face down, and every new card must slot into your row in ascending order. On your turn, you draw a card from the center, place it face up, then reveal the adjacent card: your strategy is revealed one card at a time! You can even play an anchor to ignore the number order, but beware, it will cost you growing penalties at the end of the game. Who will dive the smartest and reel in the most points?

Fugu is for you if you enjoy quick small card games that are easy to explain, placement puzzles where every decision matters, and games of about 25 minutes that slip easily into a bag. You can play solo or with up to four players, which makes it an ideal travel game.

Fun fact: this game is the work of a father-and-son duo, Flavio and Riccardo Foches, whose prototype won first place at the Premio Archimede contest. It is part of the Pocket Games collection, compact games made to slip in anywhere.
