Just a stone's throw from the moors of Dartmoor lies Exmoor National Park, where heather and peat bogs meet coastal cliffs and mystical, man-made traces, in a landscape as wild as it is magnetic. Forest Shuffle: Dartmoor - Exmoor (FR) adds 55 cards to your base box to explore this neighbouring region of Devon, with new species that slot directly into your games. Some of them bring a brand-new effect: instead of playing a card from your hand for free, you can rummage through the clearing, and if nothing suits you, try your luck by revealing cards from the top of the draw pile. Two new shrubs also join the game, each in symbiosis with a specific type of species, opening up new scoring combinations.

This expansion also adds five new asymmetrical caves, drafted at the start of the game to vary starting conditions from one table to the next: some let you keep up to twelve cards in hand, others let you draw two cards into your cave as soon as the clearing empties out. The result: every game brings a new optimization puzzle, where hand management and open drafting combine to build the richest habitat possible.

Interesting fact: several of the new cards are inspired by Exmoor ponies, one of Britain's oldest pony breeds, which have roamed semi-free on the moor for centuries. Like the rest of the collection, this expansion is part of the GreenLine, manufactured to eco-friendly standards.

This expansion is designed by Kosch, already the author of the base game and the whole Forest Shuffle series. The illustrations, this time dedicated to the flora and fauna of Exmoor, are the work of Toni Llobet and Judit Piella, known for the realism of their nature artwork.

This expansion requires the base game Forest Shuffle: Dartmoor (FR) to play: it does not work on its own and comes to enrich its content.
