Forest Shuffle - Smoky Mountains takes you into the most visited national park in the United States, straddling the border between Tennessee and North Carolina, to build a living forest one river at a time. The third standalone game in the Forest Shuffle universe, after the original game and Forest Shuffle - Dartmoor, this new box keeps the idea that made the series a hit: every card splits into two halves, a trunk or terrain side and a flora or fauna side, and you choose carefully what slides under your trees to build a balanced ecosystem. The big new feature in this installment is the water terrain cards: they can be played on their own as a new territory or tucked under a tree as universal water, opening up fresh synergies between plants and animals gathering around rivers and lakes. The wildlife also grows with large mammals native to the region, such as black bears and bobcats, alongside the otters, herons and fish that already live in the series' other boxes. At the end of the game, the richest and best-balanced forest wins.

The game is signed by Kosch, the designer behind the original Forest Shuffle and its Dartmoor expansion, and the vivid illustrations of the otter, the bobcat and the fish that populate Tennessee come from the duo Toni Llobet and Judit Piella.
