Welcome to Everdell: Emerland (FR), a worker placement game that takes you west of the Everdell Valley, deep into a lush tropical jungle. Emerland is a country known for its artistic and musical culture and its natural riches, including gems mined from its underground caverns. Here, tiny critters, mostly insects, act as fastidious and clever Helpers who assist the larger critters in their work and bring beauty to their cities. In the jungle, a mysterious lost civilization has left ruins that archaeological discoveries are only beginning to shed light on.

On your turn, you send your workers to gather resources on the board, then use them to play cards face-up in front of you and build your jungle city while scoring points. Each turn, you choose from six actions: place a Worker (with or without Helpers), place a Helper, play a card, use an Artisan card, excavate with your Archaeologist or prepare for the season. The game ends when all players have reached the end of Spring and can no longer act; the player with the most points wins. A solo mode is also included.

Everdell: Emerland (FR) is for you if you enjoy strategy games where you build a tableau of synergistic cards, games that combine card drafting and hand management, and beautifully illustrated worlds of tiny animals. It will please Everdell fans looking for something new, as well as players looking for a strategic puzzle for 1, 2, 3 or 4 players.

Fun fact: the jungle atmosphere comes with very concrete novelties, with Helpers who assist your workers and an archaeologist who sets out to uncover the secrets of a vanished civilization. This game takes place in the same universe as Everdell.
