Entropie (FR) is a strategy game of management and development for 1 to 4 expert players. For aeons, entropy was an inescapable force of nature, until humanity learned to understand it, harness it and bend it to its own purposes. You are about to become a scientist, a member of the most revered caste, and your final exam awaits: create new solar systems, coax stars into life, shape biomes and seed planets with life. It is only a simulation, but your rivals are stepping into their own exam chambers too. Only one of you will join the caste.

Each turn, you move your Scientist 1 to 3 spaces clockwise around the main board, then resolve the action where it stops, either an inner action space or the outer space of an Action tile. The more you slow your progress, the more powerful your actions become. You build solar systems with stars, planets and asteroids, then fill them with life by playing cards. You can also add biomes and upgrade your console to gain special abilities. The game ends when 2 of the 6 main objectives are completed, and the player with the most victory points wins. A solo mode is also included.

You will probably love Entropie (FR) if you enjoy development games where every tile and card fits into a tableau to optimize, if the cosmic theme appeals to you and if you want a 90 to 150 minute challenge that rewards planning and synergies. On BoardGameGeek, the community finds it especially good with 2 players, but it plays from 1 to 4.

Entropie was created by Simone Luciani, Tommaso Battista and Nestore Mangone, designers whose games include Grand Austria Hotel, Barrage, Darwin's Journey and Nucleum. The artwork is by Zbigniew Umgelter and Piotr Orleanski. Three small promo sets, Satellites, Luminescent Lifeform and Home System, also exist for the game.
