Disney Villainous: Les prémices du mal (FR)

*French version
In Disney Villainous: Introduction to Evil (FR), the heroes step aside: the villains take center stage. This asymmetric board game drops you into four familiar Disney worlds, each one told from the point of view of its most fearsome antagonist. Maleficent covets the throne in Sleeping Beauty, Ursula dreams of ruling the seas from The Little Mermaid, Prince John schemes to fill his pockets at Nottingham's expense in Robin Hood, and Captain Hook has one goal in mind: getting rid of Peter Pan for good.
Each player controls a villain with their own card deck, illustrated player board, and 3D figure. On your turn, you move your character to a new spot on your realm to play ally, item, effect, or condition cards, then refill your hand back up to four cards. Every villain chases a unique win condition: trap a hero, stockpile power, or reshape their realm to match their darkest wishes. A clever mechanic also lets you send heroes into an opponent's realm, just to make their life a little harder.
Introduction to Evil keeps the original Disney Villainous concept intact, but in a version built for newcomers. Objectives that normally trigger at the start of a turn become instant instead, every villain starts the game with two power tokens already in hand, and turns stay quick and easy to follow. The result: an ideal entry point into the Villainous universe, without giving up the strategic depth that made the series a hit.
You'll likely love Disney Villainous: Introduction to Evil (FR) if you've always had a soft spot for Disney's villains, if you're after an asymmetric party game where every player lives a different experience, or if you want to introduce your family to the Villainous series with lighter rules and games that keep moving. The four villains are independent enough from one another that you can switch characters every session without ever getting bored.
This edition first launched in 2023 to mark Disney's 100th anniversary, with box art putting Ursula front and center. Like the rest of the series, it mixes and matches figures and decks with other Villainous boxes so you can shuffle up new villain combinations from one game to the next.
Behind the entire Villainous series is the design studio Prospero Hall, known for building several board games around major family-friendly licenses. Their approach favors asymmetric mechanics that are simple to pick up, yet stay rich in options as players grow more experienced.
