Wilfried was a yeti. Eight feet tall, white fur as thick as a rug, feet as big as sleds. And he was cold. All the time.
He wore three tuques, two scarves and mittens his mother knitted. He slept with a hot-water bottle. He had asked the other yetis of the Frosted Peaks if they were cold too. They looked at him like he was crazy.
(The Dungeon Master, without looking up from the screen: A yeti bursts out of the blizzard. Roll initiative. Oh, no, wait. He’s asking if you have a thermos of hot chocolate.)
One winter morning, Wilfried made a big decision: he would go south, where it’s warm. He broke an iceberg off the coast with one big punch, put his suitcase on it and let himself drift.
The further south he went, the warmer it got. The warmer it got, the more the iceberg melted. By the time he reached the Blue Lagoon, at the far end of the kingdom, his iceberg was the size of a little bench. Wilfried sat on it, knees under his chin, in the middle of the turquoise water.
That’s when Marina, the treasure diver who only ever finds left boots, popped her head out of the water. She looked at the yeti. The yeti looked at her. Then she looked at his feet: he was wearing only one boot. The right one. He had lost the left one in the mountains. Marina smiled, dove and came back up with a left boot. It fit perfectly.
(The Dungeon Master, with a smirk: Wilfried has now lived at the Blue Lagoon for three weeks. He’s still cold. He swims with his tuque on.)
All that was left of the iceberg were seven little blue and white ice cubes, full of frosty glitter, that refused to melt. The Iceberg dice were born. Cool as a northern breeze and sparkling like snow in the sun, they’re perfect for polar adventures… and for players who always keep a blanket on their lap.
With their mix of glittery blue and white and white numbers, these acrylic polyhedral dice are perfect for your Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder or any roleplaying game (RPG). A refreshing dice set, even in midsummer.
