Sixtine was planning the biggest heist in the kingdom’s history: the vault of the Royal Bank, in the heart of the capital. Her plan had 47 steps. She had laminated it. She had made copies for the whole team, with colour-coded tabs.
The team: a gnome locksmith who talked to padlocks, a burly half-orc who apologized every time she broke something, and a pigeon. Nobody knew what the pigeon was for. Sixtine refused to discuss it. “Step 31.”
(The Dungeon Master, from behind the screen: Step 23: “Hide inside a wedding cake.” Roll Stealth. And a Constitution save. There’s a lot of whipped cream.)
Everything went perfectly. The cake. The sleeping guards. The pigeon (it was brilliant, in the end). The gnome opened the vault door by singing it a lullaby. The door creaked open.
The vault was empty. Completely empty. Not a single gold coin. Just, on a little table, seven white dice swirled like marble, with numbers as golden as crowns, and a note: “Friday dice game. Do not touch. The Director.”
At that very moment, the door opened behind them. Colonel Moutarde, the retired detective from Saint-Glinglin who invents crimes because nothing ever happens there, stood in the doorway, magnifying glass in hand, eyes full of happy tears. “A REAL crime.” He searched, measured and interrogated the pigeon. Then, in the director’s office, he found all the bank’s gold, hidden under the rug. The director had stolen it himself. Six months ago.
(The Dungeon Master, with a smirk: The Colonel thanked Sixtine for “reporting the crime.” She left with the dice, the only loot of her career. Her plan now has 48 steps. The last one: “Check that nobody did it before us.”)
The Heist machine dice were born. White as a vault’s marble and golden as treasure, they’re perfect for thieves, rogues and players who make overly complicated plans… that always end up working. Sort of.
With their translucent white swirl resin and gold numbers, these polyhedral dice are perfect for your Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder or any roleplaying game (RPG) where you’re planning a big job. A dice set as elegant as a perfect heist.
