Colonel Moutarde Dice - 7D Set
- Low stock - 1 item left
Colonel Moutarde (“Colonel Mustard”) had retired from the royal army to devote himself to his true passion: solving crimes. The problem was, he lived in Saint-Glinglin, the quietest village in the kingdom (apart from that business with the flying canoe hitting the steeple, which nobody talks about anymore). There were never any crimes.
So he invented them. A chair moved? Investigation. A cat on the wrong roof? Investigation. A pie cooling on a windowsill? Investigation, interrogation and full reconstruction of events. A suspicious chest in an alley? Investigation. It was a mimic. He lost his monocle.
(The Dungeon Master, from behind the screen: The Colonel suspects you. You did nothing. Roll Deception anyway, he’s looking at you through his magnifying glass.)
Finally, one morning, a real mystery: at the baron’s manor, someone had eaten the baron’s sandwich. The Colonel came running, in a mustard-yellow waistcoat, monocle screwed in. He gathered all the suspects in the library: the butler, the cook, the gardener, the niece and the parrot.
He questioned each of them for hours. He measured the crumbs. He analyzed the mustard stain on the rug. He even interrogated the parrot, which only repeated “Guilty! Guilty!” At last, he stood, pointed dramatically and announced:
“It was me. In the library. With the mustard.”
(The Dungeon Master, checking their notes: He ate the sandwich absent-mindedly while reading a detective novel. He arrested himself. He sentenced himself to two weeks of community service. He found it fair.)
To apologize, he gave the baron seven mustard-yellow dice, engraved with white patterns like the squares of a mystery game board. The Colonel Moutarde dice were born. Perfect for mysteries, investigations and players who always suspect the Dungeon Master. Rightly so.
With their bright mustard yellow and raised white patterns, these acrylic polyhedral dice are perfect for your Dungeons & Dragons, mystery and investigation games or any roleplaying game (RPG). A dice set for sharp sleuths.
