Aqua Marine Dice - 7D Set

Marina was a treasure diver. She could hold her breath for three hours, talk to crabs (they answered rudely) and spot a gold coin at the bottom of a lake a hundred metres deep. She had only one problem: she never found any treasure.

She found boots. Hundreds of boots. Pirate boots, knight boots, fishermen’s boots. Never the pair. Always the left one.

(The Dungeon Master, checking their notes: You search the wreck. Roll Investigation. You find… a left boot. It looks old. It looks sad.)

One day, an old map bought at the Saint-Glinglin market led her to the Blue Lagoon, at the far end of the kingdom, a place where the water is so clear you can see the bottom like through a window. A legendary treasure was said to have slept there for a thousand years. Marina dove. She swam, searched and dug through the sand for two hours and fifty-nine minutes.

And she found it. A chest. First she checked that it wasn’t a mimic (in this kingdom, it’s almost always a mimic). Then she opened it, heart pounding. Inside: seven left boots. And, stuck in the toe of the last one, seven little blue cubes, translucent as the lagoon water, engraved with white numbers.

(The Dungeon Master, with a smirk: They’re dice. The legendary treasure was dice. And boots. You have one minute of air left. Roll Swimming.)

Marina surfaced just in time, lungs on fire and dice in her fist. She finally stopped looking for the right boot. She found something better.
