The Game Master reads a definition aloud, and the race is on: who will be first to find the pictures that, put together, spell out the answer? Définimages (FR) is a fast, clever rebus game in which every riddle is solved by combining pictures that stand for the syllables of a word. Two pictures, sometimes three, rarely four: spot the right combo before everyone else and scoop up the points.
Sixty cards are spread across the table, every picture in plain view. The Game Master opens the booklet, reads a definition, and all players search at once for the word and the cards that build it. As soon as a player thinks they have it, they grab their pictures and show them. Each correct answer is worth the number of cards used, so longer words score big. After ten riddles, you tally the points and the sharpest picture-hunter wins.
Want to keep it fresh? The cards are double-sided: side A powers the first games, then side B completely changes the pictures and riddles to extend the game's life. Play against the clock or with no time limit, depending on the mood.
