Dark Souls - The Board Game: The Sunless City (Core Set) (EN)

Welcome to the Sunless City, the former jewel of Lordran where sacred spires and legions of knights were once bathed in perpetual golden light. Today, only haunted ruins and an empty throne remain. Dark Souls - The Board Game: The Sunless City (Core Set) is a cooperative board game of exploration and combat where you play an Unkindled (Herald, Pyromancer or Warrior) and venture into these forgotten places, ready to die for glory.

Your enemies are dangerous, but their attack patterns and weaknesses are waiting to be uncovered. Your ultimate goal: face the fearsome Dragon Slayer Ornstein and the formidable Executioner Smough, two bosses that fans of the series will recognize right away. Teamwork is the key to victory, because death is not the end: if a character falls, the game goes on, but the price of failure is high. The whole party must return to the bonfire, every encounter resets and the odds grow ever more challenging.

Dark Souls - The Board Game: The Sunless City is for you if you enjoy demanding miniatures games, campaign games where every decision counts, and the dark universe of the Dark Souls video games. You will probably love this game if you like tough cooperative challenges, dungeon exploration and dice-rolling combat that rewards preparation and teamwork. It can also be played solo.

Inspired by the famous Dark Souls video game series, this core set is a complete gateway into the board game universe, with characters, tiles, enemies and two legendary bosses. The box plays 1 to 3 players, and it can be combined with another Dark Souls: The Board Game core set to reach 4 players. Expansions are also available to extend the adventure.
