Concordia Venus Exp. (EN)

Concordia Venus is an expansion for the great strategy classic Concordia. It invites the goddess Venus into your Roman empire with new personality cards that open the door to new strategies, and it adds the Ionium/Hellas board to freshen up your games around the ancient Mediterranean.

The big newcomer is team play: with four or six players, you form teams of two and coordination becomes the key to victory. Partners and opponents must build their economy, place their colonists and pick the right moment to buy the right cards. Solo-minded players and duelists were not forgotten: the expansion also offers a tougher competitive variant for 2 to 5 individual players, plus the components needed to welcome a sixth player at the table.

Concordia Venus is for you if your group loves Concordia and dreams of sharing it as teams, or if you are regularly more than five around the table. It is also a great pick for players who want to vary their strategies and cards without changing the base rules they already know.

Interesting fact: the expansion combines with the base game and the earlier Concordia expansions, including Salsa. It contains only the Ionium/Hellas board; the standalone version of Concordia Venus also adds the Imperium and Cyprus maps.

The illustrations of this expansion are by Marina Fahrenbach and Dominik Mayer, and Mac Gerdts is its designer.

What you need to play: you must have a copy of the Concordia base game, which is not included in this box.
